Practice moist healing at home
Main 4 steps: Rinse, Wipe, Apply, Check!

Rinse/
When there is a wound, please rinse the wound with clean, flowing fresh water or physiological saline.
This is a key point to influence the healing speed of the wounds because they can remove the foreign objects attached to the wounds and reduce the amount of bacteria.
Wipe/
Inspect the wound carefully and confirm if there is any foreign objects attached on the wounds. Press the wound with a clean towel or toilet paper to stop the bleeding, then check the wounds to see if you need go to the hospital or treat the wound by yourself.
Apply/
The body fluid (exudates), which is constantly being secreted because of the wounds. The exudates contains the ingredients for wound healing. Therefore, we are able to use water-proof and germ-proof moist wound dressings to cover our wounds so that we can prevent an encrusted wound and fasten the healing speed.
Check/
Check the wounds covered by dressings constantly.
If the exudates comes out of the dressings, remove the dressing carefully and rinse the wound with physiological saline or clean water. Dry the wound and apply new dressing. If there is redness around the wound and you are feeling abnormally pain, please immediately go to the hospital for examination and treatment.
With the advancement of biomedical materials, nursing concepts have been changed and wound new dressings have been constantly invented. These all make it easier to take care of our wounds. However, the only unchanged truth is that we all need to clean and rinse our wounds and use moist dressing correctly according to the healing process of our wounds.

Moist Healing is to follow the principle of “cleaning and moisturizing” and maintain the “best environment for wound healing”.
Remove foreign objects and bacteria that may cause purulent inflammation by clean water. Moist dressings keep the body fluid (exudates) that can provide skin regeneration and repair so that the speed of wound healing can be faster and wound healing process can be more effective.
